About me

Hello! I’m Andrea, born in 1980 in communist Czechoslovakia. My early years were shaped by family stories about my Uncle Andrew, who had emigrated to the U.S. and became a sort of myth in my young imagination.

In 1985, after months of paperwork, we had a long-awaited family reunion in Budapest, my first trip abroad. There, I met Uncle Andrew, his American wife Lina, and my Hungarian Aunt Maria. Lina’s language, makeup, and charm fascinated me, hinting at a larger world waiting to be explored.

After the Velvet Revolution, I became one of the first students to choose English over Russian. Inspired, I began exchanging letters with pen pals from around the world. Friendships with Virginie from Brussels, Mojca from Slovenia, and others brought us together across countries and cultures, giving me not just travel experiences but true connections.

This personal, meaningful approach to travel is what I bring to your Prague experience. As your guide, I’ll show you the city I love as I would a friend, with insights, warmth, and stories you won’t find anywhere else.

Enjoy Your Journey with My Prague Tours!

Andrea
